This is the Jaxon & James Straw Boater Hat with striped band in natural. The Boater was for many decades the man's straw hat of choice. Often associated with sailing, boating, barber shop quartets, jazz bands, and the like. The Boater was generally known as the warm weather hat.

Hat Details:

  • Made of 100% wheat straw
  • Elasticized terrycloth sweatband
  • 4cm grosgrain hatband with bow on the side
  • Crown measures approximately 9cm high
  • Brim measures approximately 5.5cm wide

Hat Sizing Info:

Small - 55cm, Medium - 57cm, Large - 59cm, X-Large - 61cm, XX-Large - 63cm.

Boating in style! This is a gorgeous hat. The pictures here don't do it justice. It's just about perfect - stylish and dapper, yet functional at the same time. Nothing says summer style like this boater with chinos, linen shirt and blazer.

Perfect As Usual. As usual Village Hats delivers, literally and very quickly! The quality of this hat is excellent, extremely comfortable and I'm looking forward to beating the sun off my head with it, if we're ever allowed out again. I love the more old fashioned style and now I can be the edwardian gent at my leisure.

Great Buy I think it is as it looks in the picture. Looked great in many outfits when on holiday in Italy. If I was to be critical, the rim has softened and will probably will go floppy over time.

Straw boater Hat went brilliantly with my blue striped blazer on our special occasion, a golden wedding party. Colour slightly darker than expected but of no consequence as it suited the day perfectly. Absolutely great.

Straw Boater To be honest....I was not very happy with the hat. Firstly, the colour is significantly darker than what appears in the picture, and, in my opinion, the crown is a little too high and the brim not wide enough. The brim is also a little floppy. Overall quality seems pretty good. I have bought and Village Hats before and been pleased with the purchase. I guess that this hat will get less wear than the others!

Straw Boater I ordered this hat to use for hat party in a pub and it was exactly what I wanted! I was able to affix a silver coach and horses to the top using thread without damaging the hat and it was a huge hit! From order to delivery was 2 days - absolutely fantastic!
